Hares on the Mountain is a documentary about the future of Appalachia as coal investments dwindle, mine cleanup rulings are ignored, and tech oligarchs move in. It is a defiant account of personal and social history, the ecological costs of the buildings that hold what we call “the cloud” and “AI”, and the mountains as enduring sites of resistance.
